Volare

The patriarch of a fractured family has passed away, but from beyond the grave he still holds all the cards. Instead of leaving the house to his second wife Madeleine, he leaves her with a task of which no one can make sense. “To one of my two grandchildren, I bequeath the fee simple estate in 54 Brewster Bay, the beneficiary to be decided upon by Madeleine Dupont.” Kicked to the curb, Madeleine must decide who will inherit her home: her late partner’s grandson, Dominic, or her own granddaughter, Grace. But first, she needs to get the two pseudosiblings talking again. In Volare, feelings trump facts, cultures collide and things are queer-er than they seem. Packing up the family home is anything but fun & games when unpacking history interferes.
